What Is Red Light Therapy?

Red light therapy is a gentle, noninvasive session that uses specific wavelengths of light. The light interacts with the body at the cellular level to support comfort, circulation, and relaxation.

Who It Can Help

Many animals find red light sessions calming. It can be a soothing part of their regular care, especially for:

  • Older animals
  • Less active animals
  • Animals with joint stiffness or reduced mobility, alongside their veterinary care

What a Session Looks Like

Sessions are calm, quiet, and tailored to your animal’s comfort level, using Fear Free methods. I watch closely for what your animal enjoys. When the light reaches a spot that feels good, many animals go still, close their eyes, and settle. If they’d rather I move on, they let me know, and I listen.

Red light therapy can be booked on its own, or added to a Hands-On Healing Session with acupressure.

Available within about a 30-minute drive of Mooresville. A travel fee applies to farther locations. Please message me before booking if you’re unsure whether you’re in my area.

One day, while using the red-light therapy, Pippy suddenly gave me a quick, firm headbutt. It wasn't random. It was communication. She was telling me, as clearly as words ever could, “Nope. Not there.” So I moved the light. Almost immediately, her body softened. She lifted her chin, closed her eyes, began chewing her cud, and relaxed into the treatment.

Story

Red light therapy is complementary and is not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis, treatment, or emergency care.
