A Gift That Was Always There

I’ve always had a deeper connection with animals than most people around me — almost as if I could hear them. That sense was especially strong when I was younger. I remember spending what felt like hours lying in my neighbor’s driveway, quietly and patiently waiting for their outdoor cat to trust me enough to come close. It took a long time — but once that cat decided I was worth trusting, it was game on. I spent a lot of time lying in driveways back then. I’m still not sure why the police never showed up.

That intuitive connection quieted during my years in administrative work, but when I returned to working with animals through veterinary medicine, it came back stronger than ever.

My Journey in Animal Communication

My childhood dream was to become a veterinarian, but after learning that veterinarians are often tasked with euthanasia, I put that dream on hold. For years I worked in administrative roles, but nothing felt fulfilling — something was always missing.

In my early 40s I found my way back to my true passion when I was hired by my veterinarian as a veterinary assistant. Over the next 14 years I worked hands-on with dogs, cats, horses, reptiles, and more — eventually serving as a veterinary practice manager and gaining invaluable experience in animal care.

Like many in the field, I encountered the challenges of compassion fatigue and burnout. This led me to Communication with All Life University, founded by renowned animal communicator Joan Ranquet, where I earned my Animal Communication Certification. I also trained extensively in EFT (Emotional Freedom Technique), acupressure, Meridian Touch, and Scalar Wave Energy Healing — expanding my ability to help animals heal emotionally and physically.

Today I bring all of this experience into my work as a Fear Free Certified Professional, offering animal communication sessions, red light therapy, EFT, and energy healing to support pets and their people. My mission is simple: to give animals a voice and help them feel safe, understood, and deeply cared for.

What Makes My Approach Different

My background in veterinary medicine sets me apart from most animal communicators. Over 14 years of hands-on experience gave me a comprehensive knowledge of symptoms, diseases, and diagnostics that I bring into every session.

When I tune into an animal and sense something concerning — whether it’s aches and pains, what I call “hot spots,” hazy areas that catch my attention, or digestive discomfort — I don’t just pass along a vague feeling. I can help you understand what those sensations might mean, which diagnostics to pursue, and when it’s time to call your vet.

My years in veterinary medicine also gave me extensive experience with all types of behavior issues. Understanding the root cause of behavior — whether it stems from fear, past trauma, pain, or simply a need that isn’t being met — allows me to offer practical, compassionate guidance that goes beyond what a typical animal communication session provides.

I’ll be honest with you — my approach leans more toward the practical than the “woo woo.” I’m direct and compassionate, and my goal is always to give you real, useful answers that help you and your pet move forward together.

A Little About Me

When I’m not connecting with other people’s animals I’m at home with my own crew — Hoot and Vinny (my dogs) and Betty, Thor, and Helen (my cats). They keep me humble, entertained, and endlessly grateful for the work I get to do every day.

I’m based in Indianapolis, Indiana and serve clients in person locally and remotely across the entire country.
